The RPF SI selection process involves the following stages:
- First Stage is Computer Based Test (CBT), consisting of multiple-choice questions covering General Awareness, Arithmetic, General Intelligence and Reasoning.
- Second Stage is Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Candidates who clear the CBT are called for PET. However, to check their physical fitness through events like running, long jump, and high jump.
- Third Stage is Physical Measurement Test (PMT), To check their height, chest, and weight of the candidates as per the rules and standards.
- Further, there is Document Verification Process: Candidates who clear the PET and PMT are call for document verification to ensure the authenticity of their credentials.
- Finally the Medical Examination: A medical examination is conducted to assess the candidate’s fitness for the demanding role of an RPF SI.
