NEET UG 2025 Latest Updates, Total of 9197 MBBS seats increased for upcoming NEET 2025 and onwards. There were 108940 MBBS seats in 2023-24 in Medical Colleges across India. Meanwhile, now there are a total of 118137 MBBS seats in Medical Colleges in India. The total number of 9197 seats increased this year across India, this is definitely a piece of good news for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG aspirants.
NEET UG 2025 – Total 900 MBBS seats increased in Rajasthan
The 900 seats are increased for MBBS seats in Medical Colleges of Rajasthan. The 85% of these seats are only for Rajasthan State domicile students.
This will surely give impact on the competition and the Cut-Off marks. The last due to the level of Exam is quite easy and candidates even scored 100%. Meanwhile, now onwards the Level of NEET exam might be difficult.
NEET UG 2025 – Now total 1.18 Lakh MBBS seats in India:
There were 108940 seats in 2023-24 in Medical Colleges across India. Meanwhile, now there are total 118137 seats in Medical Colleges in India. The total number of 9197 seats increased this year across India, this definitely a good news for the NEET UG aspirants.
The increase in Medical Colleges in India:
The total 102% increase in Medical Colleges in India as of 2013-14.This is significant increase in number of Medical Colleges in India. As we look at the scenario there were total 387 Medical Colleges in India before 2014 and now there are 780 Medical Colleges in 2024. Meanwhile, the number of MBBS seats has significant increase of 130% In 2013-14 there were 51,348 seats in all Medical Colleges in India. Further, now the total number of seats are 1,18,137 across India.
In Rajasthan, there were total 10 colleges with 1,750 seats in 2013-14 and now there are 43 colleges with 6,475 seats in 2024-25.
This is fantastic news that 9197 new seats increased across India and in Rajasthan seats increased by 900 this year. However, Karnataka g holds the highest number of MBBS seats in India.
Overall, the increase in seats makes Rajasthan a more attractive option for students aiming for a government medical seat. The 85% seats are for State students, that will definitely give benefit to the Rajasthan Students.
