NTA NEET UG 2025 Updated – There are two latest updates on NTA NEET UG 2025 Exam:
1). The Special Committee established by the Supreme Court has submitted its final report to SC. The Committee’s key suggestion in this report is to adopt a Computer-based test or Hybrid Mode (CPPT) for NEET. Meanwhile, NTA NEET 2025 exam Mode final decision is now in the hands of Health Ministry of India.
The expert committee, on reforming NEET exams suggests a DIGI-EXAM system in its final report. The committee also suggested conducting the exams only in Government schools and colleges. The Central Government has submitted their report to the SC and assured them to implement the recommended changes very soon.

The special committee established by the Supreme Court of India, to improving the security, efficiency, and fairness of the NEET UG exam. The special committee recommends following suggestion for NEET UG Exam:
- Change of Mode to Computer-Based Test (CBT) or Hybrid Mode (CPPT). The special committee has suggested to move towards online testing wherever feasible. The complete transition to a Computer-Based Test (CBT) or adopting a hybrid model i.e. the Computer-assisted pen-and-paper test (CPPT). In the CPPT model, students have to use pen and paper to answer questions. Meanwhile, technology would be used for question paper delivery, proctoring, and evaluation.
- Two-Stage Examination: The committee has proposes to conduct NEET in two stages, like the JEE Main exam. That might help to manage the large number of aspirants and provide multiple opportunities for students to perform their abilities.
- Limit the Number of Attempts:- In this suggestion, special committee has suggested to limit the number of attempts for NEET. The suggest for the similar as of the JEE.
- DIGI-EXAM system and Strengthen Data Security:- The report suggest to implement DIGI-EXAM system and emphasizes the need for improved data security measures, including robust cybersecurity protocols and reduced reliance on external vendors for data management.
- Enhance Transparency and Communication:- The special committee recommends the NTA to develop a clear communication strategy to keep candidates, educational institutions, and the public informed about measures taken to ensure the integrity of the exam. The committee also recommends to create Grievance Cell and Mental Health Cell for students queries and support.

What is Hybrid Mode – CPPT?
Hybrid Mode CPPT is involvement of both traditional pen-and-paper exams with the advantages of technology. Students will still receive physical question papers and mark their answers on OMR sheets, but technology will play a key role Secure Digital Delivery, Tech-Enhanced Proctoring and Automated Evaluation process.
The Secure Digital Delivery is the process in which question papers will likely be delivered digitally to exam centers, reducing the risk of leaks and ensuring all students receive the same version.
The Tech-Enhanced Proctoring in which the exam halls and complete center is equipped with cameras and potentially AI-powered proctoring software to monitor student behavior and prevent cheating.
The Automated Evaluation is process in which answer sheets will be scanned and digitized, with the possibility of using Optical Character Recognition (OCR) for automated scoring.
Overall, the recommendation of special committee comes after paper leaks breaches in previous NEET exams. The final decision to implement CBT or Hybrid Mode (CPPT) for will be done by the Health Ministry. They will need to carefully evaluate the recommendations, weigh the benefits and challenges, and ensure a smooth transition if the new model is adopted.
