Telangana Teachers Eligibility Test (TS TET)
Telangana Teachers Eligibility Test is referred to as TS TET and TG TET. The Department Of School Education Telangana State conducts the Telangana Teachers Eligibility Test (TS TET). The TS TET exam is a state-level eligibility test conducted for aspirants who wish to join a teaching career in Telangana State. TS TET is designed to check the knowledge and teaching skills of prospective teachers. The TS TET Exam is online computer-based test and is divided into two papers:
- TS TET Paper 1: For those who wish to teach classes 1 to 5.
- TSTET Paper 2: For those who wish to teach classes 6 to 8.
TS TET Certificate is valid for Lifetime. Moreover, TGTET certificate is mandatory for teaching jobs in Government and aided schools. Previously, the TGTET certificate was valid for 7 years. However, in 2020, the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) extended the validity of all State TET and CTET certificates to a lifetime.
Scope of TS TET Certificate in The Teacher Recruitment Of The State:
- TGTET score shall have 20% weightage in Teacher Recruitment Test in the State of Telangana.
- However, mere qualifying the TET would not confer a right on any person for recruitment/employment as it is only one of the eligibility criteria for appointment.
TGTET 2024 – II Exam Pattern
The Telangana Teacher Eligibility Test Pattern is divided into two parts Paper 1 and Paper 2
- Paper I: For those who want to teach classes I to V (Primary Stage)
- Paper II: For those who want to teach classes VI to VIII (Upper Primary Stage)
The mode of TGTET is Online (computer based Test) with Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with four options each. The Total Number of Question is 150 in each paper and 150 marks for each paper. That is 1 mark for each correct answer and No negative marking for incorrect answers.

TS TET Hall Ticket 2024 – Details
Candidates can download Hall Tickets from the website https://schooledu.telangana.gov.in from 26.12.2024. In case any candidate could not download the Hall ticket she/he should contact the Director, SCERT & Ex- officio Director, TET, Hyderabad between 10.30 AM and 5.00 PM on all working days between 27.12.2024 to 20.01.2025 in person only giving details of the journal number of the fee paid, candidate ID of the application submitted, a copy of the printout of the Application form and one photograph (same photograph as pasted on the application form). Request for issue of duplicate Hall Ticket will not be entertained after the examination in any case.
