PPSC Civil Services 2025 Exam Pattern:
The PPSC Civil Services 2025 (PSCSCCE – 2025) generally consists of three stages:
Stage 1. Preliminary Examination: This is a screening test consisting of two objective-type papers:
- General Studies
- Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT)
Stage 2. Main Examination: This is a written examination consisting of several papers, including:
- Punjabi (Compulsory)
- English (Compulsory)
- Essay
- General Studies (Several Papers)
- Optional Subject (Candidates can choose one subject from a list of optional subjects)
Stage 3. Interview: This is the final stage of the selection process, where candidates are interviewed by a panel of experts.
PPSC Civil Services 2025 (PSCSCCE – 2025) Eligibility Criteria:
Age Limit: The candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 37 years on the cutoff date. There are age relaxations for certain categories as per government rules.
Educational Qualification: The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
Punjabi Language: The candidate must have passed matriculation with Punjabi as a compulsory or elective subject or any other equivalent examination in the Punjabi language.

PPSC Prelims Exam 2025 Pattern:
The preliminary competitive examination will consist of two papers of 200 marks each and shall comprise of objective type (multiple choice) questions. The detail is as follows:-

Meanwhile, CSAT Exam will be of qualifying nature, without negative marking with the minimum cut off of 40 % marks. However, candidates have to secure at least 40 % marks in Paper-II (Civil Services Aptitude Test) to qualify the Preliminary Examination. Overall, the merit of the Preliminary Examination shall be solely based Paper -I (General Studies).
