Central Teachers Eligibility Test (MP TET)

Teacher Eligibility Test known as TET is an eligibility examination for teachers. The test is mandatory for getting teaching jobs in government schools from Class 1 to Class 8. Paper 1 is meant for teachers opting for Class 1 to Class 5 and Paper 2 for Class 6 to Class 8. It is conducted by both Central Government and State Governments in India. Most states conduct their own TET.

The CBSE CTET is a national-level exam that is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to check the eligibility for Primary (Classes 1 to 5) and Elementary (Classes 6 to 8) teachers.

CTET Exam is divided into two papers:

  • CTET Paper 1: For those who wish to teach classes 1 to 5.
  • CTET Paper 2: For those who wish to teach classes 6 to 8.

CTET Certificate is valid for Lifetime. Moreover, CTET certificate is mandatory for teaching jobs in Government and aided schools. Previously, the CTET certificate was valid for 7 years. CBSE CTET Exam Pattern

The MP Teacher Eligibility Test Pattern is divided into two parts Paper 1 and Paper 2

Paper I: For those who want to teach classes I to V (Primary Stage)

Paper II: For those who want to teach classes VI to VIII (Upper Primary Stage)

The mode of CTET is offline exam with Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with four options each. The Total Number of Question re 150 in each paper and 150 marks for each paper. There is 1 mark for each correct answer and No negative marking for incorrect answers.
