UPSC CSE Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria:

Age Limit: 

For UPSC CSE 2025, candidate must have been born not earlier than August 2, 1993, and not later than August 1, 2004. Age Relaxations: Upper age limit relaxations are applicable for certain categories as per government rules.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates should have Bachelor Degree or Equivalent degree from recognized University or college.

How to Fill the UPSC CSE Registration Form?

The below is the UPSC CSE Recruitment 2025 online registration step by step process:  

  • Check your eligibility; if you meet the UPSC SCE Recruitment 2025 eligibility criteria for age limit, educational qualifications, etc.
  • Get all your required documents ready. Like:- All mark sheets, age proof, Passport size photograph, Signature, Category certificate (if applicable), PwD certificate (if applicable), Citizenship certificate (if applicable)
  • Further, scan the all required document and save them in pdf format.
  • Further, visit the official RRB website http://www.upsc.gov.in/  for New Registration
  • Now, Click on the “New Registration” link (or similar), the screen will show the Registration form.
  • Further, Fill the registration form and provide accurate details: Name, Date of Birth, Gender, , Email Address, Mobile Number, Create a strong password.
  • Now submit the registration form. Now you have to fill the application form.

How to Fill the UPSC CSE Application Form?

  1. First login UPSC website link with your newly created credentials the application number and password.
  2. Now you have to carefully fill in all the required sections of the UPSC application form, like Personal details, Academic details, Contact information, Choice of exam cities (select multiple cities in order of preference), Medium of question paper (choose your preferred language)
  3. Now you have to upload the required documents: Upload the scanned copies of your documents as per the RRB instructions. Confirm that files are in the correct format and size.
  4. Finally, now you have to pay the UPSC CSE Application Fee: open the payment gateway. Pay the application fee online using a Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking UPI etc. now check the Confirmation Page.

UPSC CSE Recruitment 2025 Selection Process:

The UPSC CSE 2025 selection process will consist of or conducted in three stages:

Preliminary Examination (Prelims):

This stage is screening test to filter out candidates for the next stage. There are two objective-type papers for 200 marks for each Paper with total of 400 marks:

General Studies Paper I: Covers current events, history, geography, polity, economy, and environment.

General Studies Paper II (CSAT): Tests comprehension, reasoning, and basic numeracy.

Note: The marks obtained in the Prelims are not counted towards the final merit list. However, candidates must clear a cut-off score in GS Paper I to be eligible for the Mains. CSAT is qualifying in nature; candidates need to score at least 33% (66 out of 200) to qualify.

Main Examination (Mains):

This stage is a comprehensive written examination to assess candidates’ in-depth knowledge and analytical abilities. There are total nine papers as follows as:

Personality Test (Interview):

This Stage is the final stage, where a board of experts interviews candidates to assess their personality, communication skills, and suitability for a career in civil services. The Marks for this stage is 275 marks.

Final Selection:

The UPSC Civil Services final merit list is prepared based on the combined scores of the Mains examination (1750 marks) and the Personality Test (275 marks). That means  total 2025 marks.
