NEET UG 2025 Latest News: The National Testing Agency (NTA) released a notification today on January 25, 2025 regarding the change in Exam Pattern and Time duration. NTA has announced important changes to the NEET (UG) exam pattern for 2025. The main aim is to return to the pre-COVID format, eliminating optional questions and the extra time that was introduced as a temporary measure during the COVID pandemic. NEET UG 2025 Latest Update: There is no more Section B (Optional Questions). The provision for optional questions, which allowed candidate to attempt a certain number of questions from a larger set, has been removed. This means all questions will now be compulsory.

The question paper will consist of a total of 180 compulsory questions, and will be distributed as follows:

  • Physics: 45 questions
  • Chemistry: 45 questions
  • Biology (Botany and Zoology): 90 questions

The NEET UG 2025 total duration of the examination will be 180 minutes (3 hours). This means students will have an average of one minute per question.
